Louisiana has been a proud member of the CoCoRaHS weather observer program since 2007. CoCoRaHS was formed in 1998 in Colorado (20 - Year Anniversary) and has since rapidly expanded across the United States and other countries. The network is designed for volunteers from all walks-of-life including YOU! The only requirements are for you have a sincere love for weather observing and a small amount of dedicated time to report weather conditions at your station. The only equipment necessary will be a small 11" capacity rain gauge that you can purchase for around $30 at select weather instrument vendors listed in the "How To Become An Observer" section.
